17° Taurus: the tenacious ambition that knows where it’s going

The last degree of the Scorpio dwad in this 2nd decan, 17° Taurus stays under Jupiter’s term, with Mercury as sub-ruler. Strategy is sharper here than in the neighboring degrees: you see far, you prepare, you economize your moves. This degree appreciates situations that call for holding course despite rumors, delays and false leads, and it excels at them, because it doesn’t burn out.

A planet at this degree proves resistant and calculating, in the good sense of the word. The Sun aims at a long-term goal and sticks to it; the Moon protects itself through discretion and foresight; Venus chooses few but well and doesn’t go back on a commitment; Mars progresses without much fanfare and often wins by attrition. The Ascendant gives a composed look, a measured voice and an eye that notes everything.

The key to growth is to share your plans before they’re completely ready. By keeping your projects to yourself, you deprive yourself of allies who could speed up their realization. Choose a reliable person and lay out your goal, with the method and the steps: they’ll see blind spots and open doors. Your discretion will remain an asset, but it becomes a chosen discretion rather than a reflex.
