Frequently asked questions
What information do I need to calculate a birth chart?
Three pieces of data: your date of birth, your time of birth (ideally to the minute) and your place of birth. The time determines the Ascendant and the houses; the place sets the latitude, longitude and time zone used for the calculation.
Where can I find my exact time of birth?
On your full birth certificate, which you can usually request from the registry office of your place of birth (in France, free of charge via service-public.fr). Family record books or health booklets often mention it too.
Which house system is used?
Placidus by default, the most widespread system in Western astrology. You can also display equal houses or whole signs by adding maisons=egales or maisons=signes-entiers to your chart's address.
Is my chart saved?
No data is stored: your chart is entirely contained in its web address. Bookmark it or share it, and it will always recompute the same chart.
Can I calculate someone else's chart?
