15° Scorpio: the Avatar degree, a door between two worlds

15° Scorpio, from 15°00′ to 15°59′, sits at the exact middle of the fixed sign, and tradition sees the Avatar degree here: an axis of force around which all of Scorpio organizes itself. The decan is Neptune’s, the dwad Taurus’s, the term Mercury’s. The sign’s deep water rests on a base of sensual earth, which gives a point that is powerful, stable and mysterious all at once.

A Sun at 15° Scorpio gives a presence that impresses, often without meaning to, and a destiny that goes beyond the ordinary. The Moon here holds an almost ancestral memory of emotions and a great ability to ground others. Venus loves with solidity and sensuality, and a rising sign here gives off an aura you can’t miss: composed, dense, with something sacred about it.

The growth lever is to carry this power with humility. The Avatar degree amplifies whatever sits on it and attracts responsibilities: mentor, guide, pillar of a family or a group. Choose the roles that nourish you and refuse those that drain you. Serving without forgetting yourself is your art. You’ll see that your influence, used with measure, changes the lives of those who come near you for good. This point also closes the Via Combusta.

The star Zuben Elgenubi, at 15°22′ Scorpio, falls in the heart of this degree. Of a Saturn-Mars nature, it is linked to the southern claw of Libra and to the idea of accounts to balance, of sorting out, of justice rendered. Combined with the Avatar status, it gives a degree where choices carry weight and where what is sincere grows stronger while the rest falls apart.
