27° Capricorn: the exaltation of Mars, the degree of courage

27° Capricorn, the twenty-eighth degree of the sign, belongs to the third decan of Mercury, the Scorpio dwad and the term of Mars. Everything here converges on strategic action: a deep will, tactical thinking, resistance to hardship. The atmosphere is that of high-level training: few words, a lot of preparation, energy channeled into a precise goal and pursued with an impressive regularity.

The Sun at 27° Capricorn makes the exceptional leader, athlete, soldier, entrepreneur, surgeon: you like taking on challenges that frighten others. The Moon here finds its calm in physical effort and in concrete action for its own people. Venus loves with courage, loyalty and a sense of sacrifice. Mars itself is at its peak. An Ascendant at 27° Capricorn gives off a strong physical presence, a quiet assurance that reassures in tense situations.

This is the degree of Mars’s exaltation: the 28th degree of Capricorn, in tradition, is where the planet of action and courage feels at home. In this sign, Mars stops being impulsive and becomes a strategist: it acts with method, lasts the distance, aims true. A planet placed here benefits from this effect: its force is valued, disciplined, used wisely. For a Sun, a Moon or an Ascendant, it is the sign of exceptional courage in the face of obstacles.

Your lever is to put this power at the service of a mission. Define what significant thing you want to accomplish, then organize your life to get it: training, learning, alliances. Keep stretches of gentleness, because an exalted energy can forget to rest, or to recognize other people’s fatigue. When courage comes with listening, it makes you a guide able to take a team very far, and bring it back whole.
