Neptune square Mercury transit: meaning, duration and advice
Neptune square Mercury in transit: when it’s activated, your ideas, studies, writing, contracts and the way you communicate are what change.
The square is a transit of friction: something sticks, resists, demands effort or a decision. It’s uncomfortable, and it’s the most productive of transits when you act. Natal Mercury represents your thinking, your speech, your learning and your exchanges. When it’s activated, your ideas, studies, writing, contracts and the way you communicate are what change.
Neptune transits by dissolving: it blurs outlines, inspires, drains, idealizes. You can’t see clearly, and that’s the point: feel first, understand later. This transit asks you to focus on accepting uncertainty, listening to your intuition, loosening your grip on control. The risk: illusion, confusion, escapism, exhaustion. The gift: inspiration, compassion, a wider faith.
How long does this transit last? With a ±1° orb, Neptune square Mercury lasts about two years. Neptune takes one hundred sixty-five years to circle the zodiac: only one pass per point, and the square around age 40 is the one most people live through.
