What is synastry?
It is the overlay of two natal charts: we look at how one person's planets sit in relation to the other's (inter-chart aspects) and which houses they fall into. It describes the dynamic of the relationship, not its “success” or “failure”.
What is the best astrological compatibility?
No combination of Sun signs sums up a couple. Moon–Moon, Venus–Mars and Sun–Moon contacts and Saturn aspects matter far more. That is why a real synastry looks at both charts as a whole.
